Join us at this open-level West Coast Swing practica for anyone who wants to improve their dance. Ideally you’ll bring specific things you want to work on, and be ready to give feedback to other dancers as requested. The practica will be unstructured and no formal instruction will be given.
DJ Blake will provide music to practice to, and Chris On will be available as a facilitator to offer general guidance and answer questions. JJ has organized this event and paid all associated costs, if you’re able to contribute $10, you can pay him in cash on the day, or venmo him @jjmoyers. Students, and those particularly crushed by the cruel grip of capitalism this month, need not pay.
Ask people for the type of feedback you want! If you want to give someone else feedback, ask their permission first. You may wish to schedule specific time slots for specific partners during the practica, however you are also welcome to come without a partner and partner up on the day.
When: Sunday, November 17th, 3:30-5:30pm.
Where: Uptown Dance Studio, 14355 SW Pacific Hwy, Tigard, OR 97224.
What to bring: dance shoes, water, $10 (optional), and, if you feel like it, a zebra made out of tofu.
