About this Event

Join me a textile artist and fashiion designer from Samarkand, Uzbekistan, for a warm, creative evening where we'll make cute felted mushrooms by hand, using soapy water and our hands.

Also I will share with you my journey how I learned artisanal skills from my neighbors in Samarkand. Come and Create together.

In this workshop, we'll explore the art and science of wet felting to create 3D felted mushroom sculpture.

Using fine merino wool, soapy water, and hands-on techniques, we'll shape and sculpt our pieces, embelishing it with bead embroidery. This process offers a unique blend of creativity, science, and engeneering, as we explore material transformation through wet felting and physics of fiber bonding. It's true STEAM experience!
