The Shire of Capel is preparing an Integrated Growth Framework Plan (IGFP). The purpose is to ensure future growth outcomes in the Shire are sustainable, well planned, cohesive and character enhancing.A core focus of community engagement will be to identify and manage the social, economic and environmental values that make each place unique, including areas where no further growth is anticipated.
The Shire is also undertaking a comprehensive review of its 10-year Strategic Community Plan (SCP). The review kick started in November 2024, with the release of the Customer Perception Survey and Strategic Direction Workshops held in each of the townsites.
Follow up community sessions will now be held in mid-February, focussing specifically on local priorities and actions for each growth area.
