Writer’s Meetup & Open Mic

This is not your typical open mic night! This is a space to create, connect, and commune in an intimate setting with the goal of cultivating community at the center of it all.

Enjoy a craft cocktail or mocktail and bar bites while mingling, workshopping your writing pieces, and getting inspired by others! 

All creatives welcomed! This event is especially geared towards poets, comedians, singer/songwriters, and writers. Not a performer? Come anyways! This is also a space to enjoy creative performances, get inspired, and meet new members of the community.

*21+ only*

WHEN: every 2nd Tuesday of the month

WHERE: Bar Max (2412 E. Colfax)

TIME: 7-10pm

7-8pm: creative co-working

8-9pm: open mic performances

9-10pm: mingle and connect

Food and beverage will be offered and non-alcoholic and vegan options are available! Outside food and drink are not permitted.

*1 item minimum per person*

We recommend utilizing the first hour to focus and work on your creative endeavor. 

Once you arrive, sign-ups to perform in the open mic are first come, first served: write your name in a time-slot to claim it! We ask for each performance to be a maximum of 5 minutes to respect all performers.

A note for musicians: we will provide a microphone but will not provide sound equipment, so please prepare an acoustic performance.
