About this Event

Community Musculoskeletal (MSK) Support Day – Get the support you need!

Shaw Trust invites you to a free Community Musculoskeletal MSK Support Day, a one-stop event designed to support your health, wellbeing, work and independence.

If you ’re struggling with a joint, bone, or muscle pain, looking for work, or just want to see what local services are out there to support you, this event brings everything together in one easy place.

No diagnosis required!

What’s happening on the day?

You’ll find lots support including:

  • Friendly expert advice from physios and other health professionals on managing pain, moving better, and staying active.
  • Job support for everyone, whether you're looking for a new job or need a hand with your current one – all tailored to your health and what you want to achieve.
  • Guidance from local council and partners who can help with things like:

Benefits and money advice

Housing and adult learning opportunities

Mental health and wellbeing support

Connecting you with local activities and groups (social prescribing)

Volunteering and local chances to get involved

  • Interpreting support (including British Sign Language) will be available, so everyone can get the most out of the day.
  • A chance to ask your questions, get personalised advice, and connect with the services that really matter to you.

If you’re eligible, attending the event could lead to…

  • Your own health and job coach - Get 1-to-1 support to help you move forward — from finding work that suits your health and skills to managing challenges in your current role.
  • Holistic health support - Receive up to 6 months of free physiotherapy, plus access to complementary and holistic therapies tailored to your needs.
  • Boost your physical health - Enjoy 6 months of free gym membership to help improve your strength, mobility and overall wellbeing.
  • Integrated support with the NHS - Our support is joined up with local NHS teams meaning you won’t need to juggle health and employment support separately. We work together to help you succeed.

You’ll meet a range of partners (varies by location)

Jobcentre Plus, Citizens Advice, local councils, housing and adult learning teams, talking therapies, leisure centres, Shaw Trust employment teams, and many more.

Book your place

Spaces are limited, so make sure to reserve your free spot in one of our three sessions.

We'll even provide lunch and refreshments.

We can't wait to welcome you!
