About this Event
Join us for an exciting afternoon of hands-on STEM learning and exploration for all ages. Registration is not required but will help us with planning. The event is free and open to all! Feel free to drop in anytime between 1:00 - 4:00 PM to visit with exhibitors from around the region including:
- National Institutes of Standards and Technology: Explore measurement science, physics of light, and microscopy
- University of Maryland Cyber-Physical Systems Engineering at USG: Engineering demonstrations on embedded systems, the internet of things, robotic hands, transforming robot cars, and more.
- National Capital Radio and Television Museum: Learn about the history of radio, television and electronic media. An oscilloscope will be available to demonstrate radio and sound waves
- High School FIRST Robotics Team 4099: Learn about the FIRST Robotics Competition, the team’s engineering-design process, and the technology and mechanisms on their robot. Interact with VEX robots.
- Dr. Jim Rudert: Our resident master-maker will be back with some more of his favorite STEM demonstrations.
