Ride Information
Important Detail:
- Date: 03/08/2025
- Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
- Distance: The route is a 6.6-mile one-way trip on mostly flat surfaces with bike lanes or bike-friendly streets. Upon returning, we will take a 20-minute ride on the E Line.
Start and End Location: Vermont & Exposition Station
- Experience Level: Intermediate (must be able to ride 3 miles on a bicycle with light inclines). You must be 16+ to ride a Metro Bike. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times; no training wheels are allowed. Children in trailers/child bike seats are welcome on personal bikes.
What to expect:
- Route: We'll be riding a 6.6-mile one-way trip and returning on the E-Line, taking in some of the most scenic spots in the neighborhood. The ride will be at a social pace, with plenty of opportunities to chat, enjoy the views, and take pictures.
- Before the ride: If you don't have a helmet, one will be provided to you. We'll begin with a brief safety talk and route overview before heading out.
- Pace & Support: This is a no-drop ride, meaning no one gets left behind. We'll have ride leaders to keep the group together and make sure everyone's having a good time.
What to bring:
- Participants 16 years and older can reserve a Metro Bike at no cost to attend this event.
- A functional bicycle or wheeled device (highly recommended with gears) if you would prefer to provide your own. We do not have a mechanic on the ride and recommend you carry your own tire repair kit.
- Hand sanitizer
- TAP card or cash for the fare on the return trip via Metro train.
- ($1.75 per ride)
- A helmet (If you do not have one, one will be provided free of charge)
- Water bottle
Safety Protocols:
- We will be observing strict protocols during the ride to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants. Please keep in mind the following rules while attending the ride:
- If you are feeling sick or unwell, please stay home.
- Metro Bike Share will provide helmets, water, and ride marshals.
- Participants are required to sign a release of liability. No exceptions.
