About this Event
As people age their needs and priorities often change. Finding support and resources in their local community is important to help enhance the quality of life for many older adults. In this session, you will learn about some of the resources and services available from the Southern Maine Agency on Aging to support and empower older adults, adults with disabilities and their caregivers across Cumberland and York Counties. You will learn about programs such as Meals on Wheels, Money Minders, Medicare Counseling, tax assistance and more and how to access them.
Speaker:
Zyanya (Zany) Shorey is the Community Resources Manager at Southern Maine Agency on Aging (SMAA). Zany has worked at SMAA for five years, supporting older adults and adults with disabilities across Southern Maine. She attended University of Maine at Farmington and majored in Community Health.
