Join Coast Care at a local planting day in the Eastern Bay!Digging in the sand is quite easy, and dune restoration can be enjoyable and rewarding. You'll be doing your bit for our native plants and animals, and working with like-minded locals who care about the environment.
What to bring:
• Gardening gloves (we will have some on hand, but you may prefer to bring your own)
• Gumboots or sturdy, covered walking shoes/boots (no jandals or bare feet please)
• Sunhat and water
• Raincoat (just in case).
Meet at the beach access opposite 254 Ocean Road, Ōhope. Look out for the Coast Care flag!
