About this Event
Our final Community Plant Practice of the year will be Monday, December 15th at Good Medicine Collective. During this the darkest week of the year, we will gather for an intimate evening with Elder, the thirteenth and last tree in the Celtic tree calendar. Elder is associated with wisdom, transformation, and regeneration. She connects us to the otherworld and the eternal cycle of death and rebirth and offers potent protective and healing medicine for the body. If you’ve ever reached for elderberry syrup during cold and flu season, you are familiar with some of the gifts of this tree, gifts which inspired Hippocrates to name Elder his “medicine chest.” Tessy and Ginny will share herbal lore as well as movement and breath practices to deepen our connection with this ancient healer, protector and guide.
