Community Peace Dove Sculpture Workshop
Join us at Orchard Barn on Earth Day for a fun and creative morning workshop crafting a Community Sculpture of a Peace Dove.
Whether you're an art pro or just love crafting, this is your chance to make a beautiful community sculpture of a peace dove alongside neighbours and new friends. Let’s spread good vibes and positive energy together in these turbulant times, while getting hands-on with some of natures greatest materials.
In this workshop you will get to experience making Cob which is a natural building material made from a mix of clay from the ground, sand, straw and water. We mix this with our feet - so bring wellies and wear old clothes or overalls. We will then be creating the base of the community sculpture together using the cob and flints - (see picture).
The dove itself will be crafted in our second workshop on Saturday 30th May, 10 -12. (Dont worry if you can't make both sessions - you'll be welcome to come back and view the final sculpture at future Orchard Barn events).

An adults only event.
What to bring:
- Wellies and old clothes or overalls
- Drinks and snacks
- Lunch to share if you would like to stay on after the workshop to eat lunch with us in the orchard (12-1)
- Old gloves that you dont mind getting dirty - if you have some. (We do have spares).

Orchard Barn is an off-grid community run centre for environmental education set within a traditional Suffolk orchard in Ringshall. We provide workshops and family sessions focused on nature connection, traditional crafts and building skills, wildlife discovery and hands-on environmental learning.
