Join us for the Kids Give Back Art Supply Drive & Networking Event, where creativity meets community! This special event is an opportunity to donate essential art supplies to support the Kids Give Back summer camp and help them continue our year-round efforts in creating care packages for foster children, kids in homeless shelters, and children in the hospital. Your donations directly support these initiatives, spreading joy and kindness throughout our community.
What to Expect:
Art Supply Drive: We need your help in gathering the following items, which are used throughout the year to create care packages for children in need:
Coloring/Activity Books
Books for grades K-3 (e.g., I Can Read series)
Markers, Crayons, or Colored Pencils
Crossword Puzzles, Mazes, or Mad Libs
Sticker Books
Playdoh or Clay
Glue Sticks
Small Craft Kits (e.g., Bracelets, Suncatchers, Paint by Numbers)
Kid-Safe Scissors
Kid's Card Games
Small Puzzles
Magic Ink Books
Blank Journals for Writing or Drawing
Watercolors with Brushes & Paper
Tattoos
Cotton Tote Bags
White Paper Tote Bags
Networking Opportunities: Meet other local volunteers, artists, and community leaders who share a passion for making a difference. Whether you're an educator, artist, business owner, or simply someone who wants to help, this event is the perfect place to connect.
About Kids Give Back:
Kids Give Back is a nonprofit organization in Northern Virginia dedicated to connecting children ages 6-12 with volunteer opportunities. Through initiatives like Summer Volunteer Camp, Kids Volunteer Days, Family Volunteer Days, and special events, we inspire the next generation of volunteer leaders while meeting critical community needs.
Since our founding in 2019 by a local parent, Kids Give Back has:
- Invested $42,000 in the community through 12,000 in-kind donations prepared by children
- Engaged 2,500 individuals (ages 3+) in volunteer service
- Supported 70+ nonprofit organizations with donations that meet their operational goals
- Involved students from over 50 public and private schools, as well as civic groups such as Girl Scouts
