About this Event
As part of the 'Orchard for Pollinators' Project we are running a programme of Orchard maintenance workshops and volunteer days across Bristol, Bath and South Glou. With the aim of recruiting and training up volunteers to have the skills to care for their local communtiy orchards.
For this session our Project Officer Janine, will deliver training Summer Pruning and orachrd maintenance at Doncaster Road Community Orchard
Attendees will be taught the key principles in Summer fruit tree pruning, as well carrying out maintenance works in weeding, mulching and gaurd repairs.
The day will consist of the training session in the morning and then an afternoon of practicing the techniques learnt under the supervision of Janine. All Health and Safety provison will be covered in safety briefing at the start of the session.
No skills or expertise required, all training, tools and PPE are provided. Please bring sturdy footwear and clothes you don't mind getting muddy, a packed lunch and plenty of water.

Parking.
There is no car park at the park but on street parking is avaliable close by on Ashburton Road
Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities on site
