Respecting Papatūānuku is a way in which we can all do our bit under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, so join us this Waitangi weekend to get your hands in the māra and learn about our methods to leave this whenua better than we found it. Have you been looking for a chance to visit Kaicycle Urban Farm? Come along our Community Open Day regularly in spring, summer, and autumn! Each open day includes a working bee, shared lunch, koha workshop, and compost sales. Come along for as much or as little of the day as you would like!

Many hands make light work - come and get your hands in the māra - with a bunch of us we'll be able to get a good chunk of mahi done, plus you'll take some skills home for your own māra! Register at www.kaicycle.org.nz/volunteer

If you haven't been to our urban farm before, this is a great opportunity to find out what we're all about and how our farm and community composting works.
1:00pm - 2.30pm KOHA WORKSHOP: KAICYCLE'S HUA PARAKORE JOURNEY- This Waitangi weekend, get some information about Kaicycle's Hua Parakore journey! Hua Parakore is a Māori led organic growing verification system, open to home gardeners and commercial growers! Kaicycle has been on the Hua Parakore waka for 3 years, learning about growing and composting on this Māori whenua in a way that respects Papatūānuku and tino rangatiratanga. Come along to this workshop whether or not you're interested in joining the Hua Parakore waka; explore the pillars of Hua Parakore, built around te ao Māori; hear about Kaicycle's experiences; and get tips for running your own māra and composting in a whenua respectful way.
