Join Shaver’s Creek staff Alexa Sarussi for a free, in-person morning of nature journaling!Join us in June at Happy Valley Lavender Farm, a family-run operation with more than 1,000 lavender plants nestled on a picturesque hillside. This will be the height of the plant’s short season, and we’ll draw and write amidst the fragrant blooms, long-revered for their ability to promote wellness and tranquility. We’ll take a tour and learn about the farm’s mindful growing practices, and how they harness the power of lavender in many different homemade products, which will be available for purchase on site.
All ages, families, and individuals are welcome. We encourage parents to bring children who express genuine interest in nature drawing, but ask that they monitor their behavior. Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult participant.
