Join the Native Lands Restoration Collaborative and Prairie Park Nature Center teams as we work to return native species to the prairie at Prairie Park! Together, we will plant native wildflowers and grasses to create new educational gardens and boost biodiversity in the restoration site, just south of the nature center. We will meet dozens of native prairie species and discuss their long relationships with people in this region. All tools and training will be provided - everyone is welcome! Volunteers may come ang go as they please but the event will wrap up when planting is complete.
This restoration site is located along a paved trail, near the Prairie Park Nature Center (with access to a bathroom and AC!). Please rsvp to the email address below to keep informed about weather delays, etc. We're here to help if you have any questions!
We will meet at Prairie Park Nature Center and walk a short distance south to the restoration site, near the new outdoor classroom/event space.
