Come take part in our second to last planting of 2025! Postponed from Saturday to Sunday, given the much sunnier weather prospects for Sunday 😊 The landowners here, Clare & Neil, have given a significant amount of time and energy to our group over the past 5+ years, including hosting our native plant nursery for most of this time! So this is a wonderful opportunity for us to give back, to a couple who have given us so much! Along with simply contributing to increasing our native forest corridors, from summit to sea!
Where: 498c Waitao Rd (look for our flag roadside!)
When: SUNDAY, 10am-12pm, with a bite to eat afterwards!
Bring: a water bottle, a warm layer, decent shoes or gumboots, a spade and some gloves (though we do have some great planting spades for use too!)
Whether laying out plants, popping in bamboo stakes, digging holes or planting trees, there’s something for everyone. Tis a bit of a steeper site this weekend though, so care will be needed.
All very welcome and just sing out if you have any queries.
😊
Photo: giant pukatea in the Abel Tasman (what this area could hold one day - thanks to the work of our community bringing our forests back 😊)
Look forward to seeing people on Sunday!
