Community Mural Event: Fairfield in Full Bloom
Come join us for a day of creativity and community spirit at our Community Mural Event! Collaborate and help paint the Fairfield in Full Bloom mural. The event is in partnership with the City of Fairfield and will take place outside on the Linear Park Trail, 2001 N Texas St, so be sure to mark your calendars and bring your artistic flair. Let's make our city even more vibrant, walkable and colorful together! The family event will be filled with celebration, snacks, seeds and so much more.
If you are a Fairield resident, please take this survey, we want your input on the design of the mural. Fairfield in Full Bloom is the name of the mural and the vision is to have flowers with positive messages from Fairfield residents woven throughout the design. If you are a Fairfield resident please take this so we can include your ideas in the design.
- We ask that you come dressed to paint
- Children are welcome and encouraged, but must be with a supervising adult
- Residents will also have the opportunity to give feedback on a community air quality action plan..
Local Fairfield resident, Sheree Rayford is the artist on this project. We are thrilled to be working with her and the beautiful vision for this mural. "For the inspiration, I'm drawing from a mix of fun, bright colors, and a sense of happiness and vibrancy. I'm envisioning bold florals, uplifting energy, and a design that feels both dynamic and inviting. I want the mural to bring joy and create a space that feels warm, welcoming, and full of life!"
Sheree Rayford's Bio:
Since relocating to Fairfield, CA, in early 2021, Sheree has taken the leap in pursuing her passions as a full-time artist and photographer. She's had the opportunity to connect with several community organizations and contribute to local events as a vendor, event photographer and volunteer. She's a mentor with the Fairfield PAL Teen Center working with at-risk teens in the Fairfield area and also an active member of the Fairfield-Suisun City Visual Arts Association and the Fairfield Suisun Chamber of Commerce. These platforms allow her to serve her community alongside local leaders and elected officials.
