Community Movement is a welcoming, non-judgmental space to reconnect, explore creative movement, and dance as a form of personal expression.
About this Event

Community Movement Practice

Feeling disconnected from your body or curious about movement without the pressure of a traditional dance class?

This flow is all about moving freely, listening to your body, and finding your own rhythm. With Marina, we’ll explore non-goal-directed movement in a low-pressure, supportive environment—no choreography or dance technique required. Rooted in the idea that humans have long used collective movement to build connection, Community Movement offers a gentle reentry point into creative expression.

We’ll focus on proprioception, discovering what movements feel good in your unique body, and strengthening your creative instincts in an approachable way. This class is for anyone new to or returning to movement, with the belief that everyone is a dancer—the key is learning the language of movement.

No experience needed — just come as you are. Whether you’re new or returning after a break, this space invites joy, expression, and connection through movement.

Schedule:

  • 5:45pm — Doors open (arrive early to chat, sip tea, and settle in)
  • 6:00pm — Body Scan, Reflection and Community Sharing
  • 6:20pm — Community Movement Practice Begins
  • 7:30pm — Session ends

Location notes:

  • Parking available around the building
  • Front door has a code — someone will be outside to help with entry

Cost:
This event is donation-based. Pay what you’re able — no one is turned away for lack of funds.

Come move, breathe, and make space for joy.
