The meeting will be held to address the need for a county animal facility and related animal welfare issues.All who are interested are encouraged to attend. Representatives from area rescues are invited, but people do not have to be affiliated with an organization in order to participate.
All who are concerned with the current issues involving animals in Jones County are invited to share their thoughts and ideas.
The main topic will be the need for a humane, open-admission animal shelter in this county. A group of concerned residents wants to determine what we can do to ensure money spent for animal control actually addresses the immense need in this area.
Those who attend may use the parking lot entrance at the back of the church. The address is 500 North Fifth Avenue.
