Join us for a special community event in partnership with the South Dakota Literacy Conference as it comes to Mitchell!On June 16 from 6–8 p.m., head to the Corn Palace Plaza for an inspiring evening featuring Malcolm Mitchell—author, literacy advocate, and former NFL player.
Malcolm will share his story and passion for literacy, followed by a book signing. The evening will also feature live music from the Mitchell Children’s Choir.
At 7:30 p.m., we will hold a flag raising ceremony for the special South Dakota 250 flag.
There will also be local food trucks, including Andy’s Eats, Mya’s Teriyaki, and Matilda’s by Michelle’s Mad Batter.
This free event is open to the public, and attendees of the South Dakota Literacy Conference will also be joining us—making it a great opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate literacy together.
