About this Event

Legal Aid Center and its community partners invite you to a workshop reflecting the themes of "Supporting Independence in Young Adults with Disabilities" and "Avoiding Court Interventions as You Age." Experienced attorneys will explain options to avoid guardianship and court control of your life as a senior or as a young adult with disabilities or autism.

After the presentation, you'll have the opportunity to speak with an attorney for a free consultation about any of the following:

  • Creating a power of attorney
  • Adult guardianship
  • Alternatives to guardianship
  • Options for young adults with disabilities
  • Housing and other related issues
  • Debt and other related issues

In addition to this workshop, Legal Aid Center, Nevada Legal Services, and the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV offer a free guardianship class that you can attend online or in-person. .
