Step into the season of renewal with our first community hike of the year to one of Griffith Park’s hidden gems: Amir’s Garden. As the natural world wakes up around us, your guide Zoe Benson will lead the way through lush trails, gentle climbs, and pockets of wild green that perfectly mirror the energy of the equinox—where light and dark meet in balance, and new intentions begin to take root.
We’ll gather at the trailhead for a grounding breath practice to shake off winter heaviness and honor the imaginative, intuitive rebirth of Pisces season. From there, we’ll make our way up toward Amir’s Garden, soaking in the fresh air, budding growth, and expansive views that remind us what’s possible when we begin again.
At the garden overlook, we’ll pause for a mindful intermission:
Breathwork to energize and clarify
A guided journal prompt for spring intentions and renewal
Reflection on how to carry Pisces’ rebirth into Aries’ spark—stoking motivation, building momentum, and saying yes to your next brave beginning
We’ll close in community, planting the seeds—literally and metaphorically—for the season ahead. Each participant will receive a small seed packet to take home as a reminder to nurture what you hope to grow this spring.
Come hike, breathe, write, and connect with nature and with each other. Bring water, supportive shoes, sun protection, and any journaling tools you love.
This special equinox edition of our seasonal hike series is open to all. Please pre-register by Thursday, March 19. All pre-registered students will receive an email on Friday, March 20 with meet-up details, parking info, what to bring, what to expect, weather updates, and a little seasonal surprise.
