About this Event

Welcome to the Community Heat Summit!

Join us at the Carla Madison Recreation Center for a day of discussions and activities focused on tackling heat-related issues in our community. Free parking is available in the lot accessible from 16th Avenue (between the Carla Madison Dog Park and the East High School parking lot). On-street meter parking is also available. The center is accessible from the 15, 15L, and 24 bus routes.

The Heat Summit aims to facilitate collaboration with community representatives, particularly from vulnerable populations, business community. Our goal is to

  • Assess gaps in current heat response programs.
  • Learn what groups are doing about extreme heat and what they want to contribute.
  • Understand the specific assistance required by the City and County of Denver during heatwaves.
