This is not your typical yoga class . The intention of this class is to create a space where we can come together as a community to move our bodies, expand our minds, explore our breath, and re-connect to ourselves and those around us. We focus on integrating our yoga practice off the mat into our daily lives.
This is an all levels yoga class; beginner's welcome . Come prepared to activate your voice before and after class with community discussion on your intentions, your experience, and conscious awareness topics in order to build positive habits of self care that induce growth both individually, and collectively.
This space is indoors to ensure a comfortable experience as the cooler weather creeps in. This calming space is open, with lots of windows that have ability to open. Please make yourself comfortable while in class whether you choose to wear a mask OR not. We ask that you practice consent with neighbors and be mindful within the space.
What to bring: comfortable clothes, water, yoga mat (or other), and an open mind!
Where to find us: ALC Mosaic 6100 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC
ALC Mosaic is located at the Monroe Rd/Rama Rd/Idlewild Rd intersection. Turn onto Monroe Rd, then make a turn into the parking lot (there is a speed limit 40 sign next to the parking lot entrance). See Photos below for a street view of ALC.
Park in designated parking areas, along fence, or along Bainbridge Rd. (be mindful of neighbors and walk to campus).
Once on campus walk inwards following either sidewalks. The building will be on the far right side of the property (if you're looking at the property with your back to Monroe Rd. There is a beautiful room on the ground level where we will be hanging out. Please remove shoes before entering the space.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check-in. If you have never been to any of Habitual Roots' events, please consider registering yourself in the system to allow a quicker check in process.
