About this Event
Above Brooklands Park, nature corridors lace their way through the Sompting Estate, then rise high into the Downs. West of this green sweep, rows of houses mushroom out and spread into Worthing. In between them, not far from the wooded web that weaves from blue to green, a small patch of nature gives a home to some spectacular trees.
Over recent years, Friends of Lyons Farm Open Space have worked hard to create an outdoor, nature-filled community space among the busy streets and industrial parks. Many Wellderfolk will have spent time there, embraced by the tall trees that run around it.
On the 4th of April, we'll find a spot to set up our brew kit and a game or two of Kubb. And we'll do a Wellderness-style easter egg hunt, where pine cones are exchanged for treats.
As for you, bring a picnic and something comfy to sit on. Then simply be, in nature, with our community. And play some Kubb, if you feel like it.
We'll hold the space, you choose what to do with it.
Tickets are £2.50 per adult and £1.50 for five to 16 year-olds. Under fives are free. And if any of that is too much, just get in touch.
Located on Sompting Road, the park is on the 7 and 16 bus routes. There's no public car park and no toilets on site.
