Black Homeschoolers of Central Florida, Inc. will celebrate Black History Month by hosting Community EXPO 2023, a place for homeschooling families and community members to network, attend education workshops, and connect with organizations, college representatives, and community resources. The EXPO will feature an array of vendors, children's activities, food court, and more! Your ticket includes a stage production of Malcolm X: The Musical on Friday and/or Saturday. Come on out and connect with your community!
Entry to Community EXPO 2023 is $45 for the two day event or one day for only $30. This event is open to the public. Doors will open on Friday, February 17th at 1 p.m- 6p.m., and on Saturday, Feb. 18th from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. at The News Journal Center, located at 221 N Beach St, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
Set against the backdrop of the Civil Rights Movement, Malcolm X : The Musical tells the extraordinary story of a man's transformation from a life crime on the streets of Harlem, to a minister and leader of the Black Muslim Movement. Calling out the injustices of racism, Malcolm X preached a message of empowerment to the African Americans of his day. Step into the knowledge of who Malcolm really was in this contemporary musical, and experience the pain, passion, and purpose of his life story in a new way!
