About this Event

Whether you have never paddled in a dragon boat before, or are looking for a new team, visit us anytime between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to find out about dragon boating in the east end of Toronto with the Rusty Dragons. No experience is necessary for any of our 9 teams. Our objective is to provide access to community-level teams open to anyone of any ability, age, gender, or sports experience. Everyone is accepted on a first-come-first-served basis, and our coaches make it a fun, safe, and supportive experience for all.

We do have a competitive team for those wanting a little more (Barracudas), and we also have a Mixed Ability team for anyone of any ability (including a disability) as well as an LGBTQ team (Liberty Waves). Our teams practice once a week (except the Barracudas team who are twice a week). Our past members have been aged 8 to 84. You do not have to be an "athlete" to enjoy this sport! Fresh air, exercise, nature, and camaraderie are what it's all about!
