Be a part of history! The South Side Community Art Center (SSCAC), the country’s oldest continuously operating Black arts institution, is thrilled to announce its upcoming renovation and expansion project. Join us for a special Community Design Unveiling and explore the exciting future of SSCAC.

This event will showcase the transformation of the Center with designs created by Future Firm and wrkSHäp | kiloWatt, highlighting the balance between preserving SSCAC’s rich history and introducing bold, accessible, and sustainable new spaces. Learn about the plans to expand visitor capacity by 398%, create museum-grade galleries, rooftop event spaces, and honor the building’s historic legacy.
