Innovation and Materials Through Time: A Youth-Led Collections Journey

Come explore our storeroom stacked with curious and inspiring objects, you’ll see how humans have experimented, invented, and reinvented materials across time. Led by young people, this tour takes you on a journey through the materials that have shaped our world—stone, metal, ceramics, plastic, and more. Each object will reveal a moment of innovation and a glimpse into how people lived, created, and imagined the future.

This youth-designed tour by our Heritage Explorers invites you to look closely, ask questions, and uncover how the materials of the past continue to spark new ideas today. Whether you’re interested in history, science, creativity, or sustainability, there’s something here to inspire the inventor in you.
