Come join us for the 2nd annual fun, free Monmouth/Independence community-wide event “Make Music Winter” at The Gate Youth Center, 1501 Monmouth Street, Independence, OR (across from Central High School) —“Community Caroling” is co-hosted by the Guitar Club at the Gate and The Old Song Singers.
Musicians & singers of all ages & abilities are invited to participate as we make music together. Hummers, whistlers, foot tappers & strummers welcome!

“Make Music Day” began in 1982 in France on the summer solstice, June 21, as an event where everyone & anyone was invited to join and play music or host performances in public places.
40 years later, the festival has spread throughout the world and is celebrated in more than 2,000 cities in dozens of countries.
More recently, “Make Music Winter” on the winter solstice, December 21, has been added.
