Welcome to our Community Cacao Journey & Picnic event!
Join us inside the Tree Temple at Mineralwell Park for a day of community and nature connection.
We will share a cup of Ceremonial Cacao, before being guided by Luzura on a healing journey with the elements through meditation, somatic movement and sound; designed to bring balance to the emotional body, reset the nervous system and plug you into the present moment with a sense of safety and clarity.
Afterwards, we will celebrate our togetherness and the abundance of this season with a big ol' community picnic. Luzura will additionally be offering the traditional Mayan elemental cleansing ritual of Limpia on a donation basis.
Bring a yoga mat, blanket and your favorite picnic food to share as we come together to enjoy the beauty of nature, each other's company and create lasting Summer memories.
About Host
Luzura Laguz Peralta (they/them) is a trauma educated Mayan Medicine Practitioner of the Totzil + K'iche' lineages, Neuro-Somatic Coach + Eco-Somatic Body Worker; with over twenty years experience in somatic movement modalities and 7 years of service within the wellness industry.
They are the founder of Sacbe Cacao + Third Eye: A Sacred Space for Conscious Living; through which they offer pathways to healing (wholeness) through a weaving of indigenious wisdom and contemporary animistic perspectives + practices that address the body + brain.
They are an expert in working with the nervous system, helping those seeking greater regulation, resillience, behavioural change and trauma resolution with the tools that enabled them to heal CPTSD + FND.
About Cacao
The medicine that helps us open our hearts; connecting us deeper to our emotional body, to our inner wisdom, to nature and to each other. This plant offers us a gentle, yet powerful portal into altered states of consciousness, where we can safely access deeper states of feeling and expressing, liberation and bliss.
