Blood levels are at critical low at this time. Every two seconds, someone needs blood and approximately 29,000 units of red blood cells are needed every day in the U.S. Blood is essential to help patients survive surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses and traumatic injuries. The need for blood is constant, it sustains precious human life, but only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood yearly.
The Blood Connection mission is to support our healthcare partners and adequate, safe, cost-effective blood supplies and services. When we share blood, healing happens, individuals thrive, and families can remain whole. Giving blood enriches our life experience, casting aside our differences to link the human race through a common, natural bond.
