Summer is a season filled with vacations, pool days and quality time with family; but it’s also when blood donations drop more than any other time of year.
As people travel and schools let out, fewer donors are available, leading to critical blood shortages just as demand rises from increased traffic accidents and traumatic injuries.
To help ensure a steady and lifesaving blood supply, South Texas Health System and South Texas Blood & Tissue are urging our community to take action by donating blood at one of our upcoming blood drives. Just one donation can help save up to three lives.
This summer, be the difference: schedule your donation, show up and give someone a second chance at life.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged, but walk-ins are always welcome.
