Come out to Community Art Making at Charis! This new monthly event is a free and open-ended creative kickback for our community, hosted by local trans and disabled artists Barry Lee and Noah Grigni. This is a safe and accessible space for collective healing through art, welcoming all skill levels, all art forms, and all ages. Art supplies will be provided potluck-style; we will share what we have, and we invite you to do the same! The events are on the second Sunday of each month. This space is free and open to the public, with suggested donations to Atlanta Solidarity Fund and/or Charis Circle. This program takes place in person at Charis Books and More, 184 S Candler Street, Decatur, GA 30030. No reservation or ticket required. Masks are required inside the store. Dr. Ari Brazier and Ashley Causey-Golden will facilitate September's community art making, "Inspired by the work of Ashley Bryan; we will be playing around with cut paper to make designs and create flyers. We will also have materials for collaging and zine making!"
