Step back in time and experience the ideas that helped shape a nation.On April 15, catch Common Sense: The Bill of Rights, an engaging and interactive program exploring the powerful words and revolutionary thinking that influenced America’s founding.
Through a dynamic blend of living history and live music, guests will dive into the writings of Thomas Paine and the creation of the Virginia Declaration of Rights in 1776. Educator Michael Steen (Watermen’s Museum, Yorktown VA250 Committee) and Bill Rose of Shades of Our Past will bring history to life—featuring a special appearance by Archibald Cary, Chair of the Bill of Rights Committee.
What to Expect:
• Live historical interpretation
