East Anglia’s BIGGEST and BEST 90s night is returning in 2025 with an evening celebrating 30 years of the best britpop, indie and dance from the era.Following hot on the heels of its sold-out Christmas party, Common People will return to Norwich’s Waterfront on Friday, February 28, this time featuring a live performance from the fantastic Counterfeit Brits, as well as the now traditional 90s disco.
Common People has delivered some of the best nights in the city since launching its events devoted to 90s Britpop, indie and dance eight years ago.
This latest show is the first of Common People’s new annual charity nights and is being held in memory of former Common People regular Daren Francis, with all proceeds from the night going to his nine-year-old son Leif.
Daren was a well-known musician in Norwich, former member of the band Lot 55 and lead singer in The Cured, a The Cure tribute band.
Since launching, Common People has brought some of the biggest names from the era to Norwich, including Bez (Happy Mondays), Rick Witter (Shed 7), Louise Wener (Sleeper) and many more.
The event will run from 8pm to midnight and tickets are £10, which will include free entry to Meltdown afterwards.
