OC council is challenging us! RSJ We are only 1.6% away from being fully trained for Safeguarding Youth Training. For Position Training we are at 70.1% trained. A large portion of this that we are missing are our Committee Members. Council is holding an in person training for this training. The Troop Committee Challenge, taking place on June 27, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, is built for those supporting Scouts BSA troops. The session explores how committee members work alongside the Scoutmaster to ensure a truly youth-led program, while also handling the structure, planning, and support that allow Scouts to succeed.
The Pack Committee Challenge, on August 15, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, is designed for Cub Scout leaders at all experience levels. This course walks through the fundamentals of running a strong Pack, including program planning, parent engagement, and sustainable fundraising—key elements that keep units growing and thriving.
