Commercial Vehicle Inspection Course – Become an Authorized Inspector!Cost: $458
Prerequisite: B.C. TQ or Red Seal in commercial transport, automotive, heavy duty, commercial trailer, or motorcycle repair. Please bring proof of credentials to the first class.
Advance your career and become an Authorized Inspector under B.C.’s Commercial Vehicle Safety & Enforcement (CVSE) program!
This in-person course is designed for Red Seal trade-qualified mechanics looking to expand their skills and certification.
Participants will learn to inspect:
✔ Commercial vehicles (air-brake trucks & buses)
✔ Personal vehicles (automobiles, RVs, light trucks)
Successful graduates are eligible to apply to CVSE for authorization to perform official vehicle inspections across the province.
Textbooks & Requirements
Current Vehicle Inspection Manual (UFV Bookstore) – $97.95
Mobile BC Services Card must be set up before class
Bring digital copies of your Red Seal and TQ (USB, email, Google Drive, etc.)
Sponsor Agency Forms are available for employers supporting staff attendance.
