About this Event
Join Area Specialized Agent Craig Mauney and Horticulture Agent Matthew Clay for a hands-on pest scouting workshop focused on integrated pest management (IPM) principles for small farms. Pest scouting is an important part of any farm’s IPM strategy and helps growers identify problems early, improve crop health, and make informed management decisions.
These workshops are designed for cut flower and vegetable producers and will include hands-on scouting techniques, pest identification, and discussions on monitoring strategies commonly used on diversified farms. Whether you are a beginning grower or an experienced producer, learning the basics of pest scouting can help improve your farm management skills.
Participants are welcome to attend one or both workshops. Even if your farm operation differs from the workshop focus, the principles discussed will apply to many types of agricultural production systems. Space is limited, and registration is required for each workshop. Both workshops are free to attend.
