About this Event
Commercial Break Marketplace is a new, multi-month community activation series bringing energy, joy, and connection back to Commercial Street, one of Chinatown’s most underused corridors. Through weekend street closures, the Marketplace transforms the block into a welcoming public space filled with pop-up vendors, community seating, cultural programming, music, and rotating seasonal themes.
Designed as a place to slow down and gather, Commercial Break Marketplace invites neighbors and visitors to connect, support local small businesses, and experience Chinatown in a new way. Whether you’re stopping by to shop, enjoy food and music, or simply take a moment to rest and take in the atmosphere, this series creates space to pause, wander, and rediscover Chinatown together.
