The American Heritage Partners (AHP), in partnership with the Nevada Mayflower Society, Colonial Dames XVII Century, and the Order of Founders & Patriots of America, proudly invite the community to a special summer picnic and educational event commemorating the 350th anniversary of King Philip’s War.The organization will host a special commemorative event on August 12, 2026, at the historic Bartley Ranch Regional Park and the Huffaker Schoolhouse for a family-friendly day of learning, reflection, and celebration. This event offers engaging activities for all ages, including insightful lectures held in the historic schoolhouse, focusing on King Philip’s War—a pivotal moment in early American history that unfolded in 1676.
Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to meet representatives of prominent heritage societies across the United States. These organizations are comprised of descendants of men and women who lived in 17th-century New England and are dedicated to preserving and sharing the legacies of early American settlers.
