A little bit about Peyrassol:
Commanderie de Peyrassol is located in the foothills of the Massif des Maures mountain range, ten miles from the Mediterranean Sea, between Cannes and Marseille. Founded by the Knights Templar in 1204, Commanderie de Peyrassol has thrived as a sanctuary for gathering travelers, all the while holding true to its values of hospitality and conviviality. The estate consists of 1,000 hectares with 95 hectares planted to vineyards cultivated on dry, rocky clay and limestone soils. With effort from the current owner, Philippe Austury, to revitalize estate's centuries-old reputation, Peyrassol is now, more than ever, synonymous with great wines and celebrated generosity across the world.
A little about Host/Winemaker Alban Cacaret:
After completing a degree in Ph*rm*cy, Alban Cacaret, the nephew of Philippe Austruy, made a radical change of direction. He arrived at the Commanderie Peyrassol in 2002, where he faced the task of overseeing the extensive renovation: everything was to be restructured, from the vineyard to the buildings. Once he completed his degree in viticulture and oenology, Alban took over the management of the Commanderie with the support of the great team at the estate and some mentoring from previous longtime owner Françoise Rigord. He now knows the Commanderie de Peyrassol inside and out, and for the last 20 years has taken a methodical and sensible approach to running the business. Alban was the main driver of the organic conversion finally obtained with the 2022 vintage.
Parking: Due to limited spacing, we ask that you please do not park in the lot directly in front of Corkdorks’ store. Instead, you are welcome to park in either the lot beside the Corkdorks front lot, or in any open spot on the street. These parking options are free for attendees. Thank you for your cooperation.
All attendees will receive a $20 gift card to Corkdorks.
We do not charge a fee to attend or participate in any of our classroom events. However, because of the tremendous demand for our events, and because seating in our classroom is limited, we charge a nominal prepaid reservation fee to hold your place in the classroom. The amount of the reservation fee varies depending on the size, duration, and content of the event, but is non-refundable if you are unable to attend the event for any reason. If you prepay the reservation fee and attend the event, you will receive a Gift Card in an amount equal to the prepaid reservation fee, which can be redeemed for cash any time after the event or used to purchase merchandise in the store. No refunds. No Exceptions.
