About this Event
YOU ARE INVITED!
Join the Mayor's Office of LGBTQ Affairs (MOLGBTQA) and the Department of Human Services for a "Coming Out Cookout" to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, the advocacy efforts it took to create the LGBTQIA+ low-barrier shelter, and the 1 year anniversary of Living Life Alternatives.
LGBTQIA+ Community members and allies will have a chance to learn more about LLA's work and engage with other community members. It wouldn't be an LGBTQIA+ cookout without good food, drinks, music, drag, games, and community. DON'T MISS THIS EVENT!
LIVING LIFE ALTERNATIVES
Living Life Alternatives is a low-barrier shelter for LGBTQIA+ individuals experiencing homelessness. The shelter provides case management services, job readiness training, life skills classes, psychosocial support, and health and wellness support. Living Life Alternatives is managed by the KBEC Group, a community group that provides support for inclusive adaptive living skill development, wrap-around social services, and community residential living to youth, families, schools, and school districts.
