About this Event
With Special Guest: Duncan Cryle from Clear Sky Retreat Center
We've become disconnected—from the land we live on, from knowing where our food comes from, from deep community.
Modern systems have isolated us from each other and from nature, leaving us fragmented and anxious about an uncertain future.
But coming home is possible—and essential. The future won't be a return to the past. We can't predict what's coming, but we know this: strong resilience is essential for co-creating the future we want. And that resilience comes through healing and reconnecting with community, land, and food—the foundations for any healthy emerging future.
What We'll Explore:
• Understanding Disconnection: How modern economic systems have separated us from land, food sources, and meaningful community
• What Resilience Actually Means: Building adaptive capacity for uncertain times through genuine reconnection—not just "bouncing back" but "bouncing forward"
• Three Essential Reconnections:
- Land & Place: Discovering your bioregion and why place-based belonging matters
- Food: Moving from consumer to grower, understanding food sovereignty
- Community: Building genuine relationships of mutual aid and collective wisdom
• Bioregional Resilience: How community spaces can become "refugia"—places where connection deepens and new possibilities emerge
