About this Event
Join us for a class focused on gentle movement, breath awareness, and mindfulness practices to promote healing and self-discovery. Suitable for all levels, this class invites participants to explore their practice in a supportive environment that honors individual needs and preferences.
In this class, you will be given the opportunity to move deeper into your body, allowing for self-exploration, playfulness, and awareness in your body that you haven't experienced before. Heather will provide the space for you to move openly, with no judgments. She will invite you to step into your realm and your work. Her hope for you in this class is to step away with knowledge and awareness of yourself. We will find these through different modalities: Trauma-Informed Yoga, Energy Work, Dance, Guided Meditations, QiGong, Breath, Mantras, Journaling, Mudras, Chakra meditations, and more...
Benefits to Coming Home Embodiment Work include stress reduction, better adaptability to life stages/situations, improved self-care, sleep, and mindfulness practices, healing from within, nervous system regulation, and creativity.
About Heather
About Heather:
Heather Ding is a seasoned yoga student who has been teaching yoga for a little over 5 years. Yoga found her exactly when she needed it! She received her 200 hr certification in 2019 from Almaden Yoga with Anuja Chaudri and Nate Jones. She will be completing her 300 hr certification in the year 2024. She completed the advanced certification for trauma-informed yoga through Collective Resilience Yoga under Hala Khouri, Kyra Haglund, and RW Alves in 2021. She is now calling this class “Coming Home Embodiment Work”, which includes not only yoga and meditation, but other modalities such as journaling, somatic movement, energy work, mantras, mudras, and more. She believes that healing is community work and invites questions, inquiries, and laughter into class. Each class is unique as we move through the “topic of the month” and you will be left feeling more in tune with body and mind. She hopes that you will grow deeper in love with exactly who you are now.
She has worked with The Art of Yoga Project from 2019-2020. She has logged in over 30 volunteer hours and has been named volunteer of the year 2020 with San Jose Library/Edenvale Branch. Receiving her Laughter Yoga certification in 2021, she hopes to bring more “childlike play” back into your life.
