Comics and Machines (COMMA 2026) Conference brings together scholars, artists, and practitioners to examine how computational technologies reshape the production, distribution, and interpretation of comics: from AI image generation to machine-readable archives, from algorithmic narrative to digital drawing tools.
Spanning two full days across two institutions: Day 1 at KTH Stockholm, Day 2 at Uppsala University; participants include an international community of scholars spanning media studies, digital humanities, narratology, visual culture, and computational research.
