Augustin Bousfield’s music is a fascinating blend of progressive synth-pop, funk, and retro-futuristic electronic sounds. Produced from his Bradford studio His style is often described has elements mix of Max Tundra, John Grant, A.G Cook, Hall & Oates,
and Syd Barrett, Scritti Politti with elements of kosmische rock, avant-pop, and IDM.
Tracks from his recent album, ‘Anymoor’ and two subsequent singles, ‘Who New’ and ‘Multisingular’ have been played multiple times on 6music and Radio X among many, His influences range from Ryuichi Sakamoto to Kraftwerk, and his compositions
often feature keytar-driven melodies, intricate synth arrangements, and experimental electronic textures. His latest album, Anymoor, showcases his ability to fuse chip-tuned beats, frazzled funk, and progressive synth elements into a cohesive
and engaging sound.
Bousfield has also collaborated with artists like Saint Etienne, co-writing and producing their recent albums, I’ve Been Trying to Tell You and The Night as well as writing upcoming tunes with SE and Nick Heyward and Vince Clarke. He's also in local progpop heroes, 'Gurgles' His work spans multiple genres, from psychedelic pop to electronic minimalism, making his music both unpredictable and deeply immersive.
Augustin has also presented a couple of 6music shows and music for film, TV and radio including Michael Spicer’s latest show and the music for Deal or No Deal.
He’s also remixed bands like Deary, Deary, Dot Allison, Communicant, Printed Circuit, Cowtown and Lark
His new single, ‘Love Corruption’ is out Friday 9th January 2026
