We are proud to present @brainleak__ supported by @theredstains on the 27th of February šŸ”„
@brainleak__ šŸ–¤ Brain Leak’s music is essentially an audio diary filled with frantic emotion, delicate sombre moments, unpredictable structures and deeply personal lyrics.
The songwriter is a French/US national, Cardiff born, Manchester based artist Tara-Gabriella Engelhardt. She draws inspiration from emotive bands like Ought, Pixies and Blondshell.

@theredstainsšŸ–¤ Cooking up a plastic fantastic disco-punk sound from a collage of musical influences, Manchester four-piece The Red Stains embrace the kitsch and the tacky as a power to disrupt the male-dominated music industry. Their sharp and sarcastic lyrics hold a mirror up to domestic everyday life: consumerism, mental illness, public transport, discount supermarkets and being queer.
Fat Frances is a 5 piece genre bending alt pop band from Calderdale, projecting 60's pop and folk
revivalism through the hazy lens of new wave and garage rock. Half-ironically denoted as ā€œkitchen-rock
from the swampā€ by the band’s founder Rory Johnson, Fat Frances has been described by reviewers as
ā€œa smouldering brew of smoky lo-fi pop deliriumā€
. The incendiary and dynamic live set draws from a
back catalogue of 3 self-recorded full length albums and 3 recent singles produced by the legendary
Gordon Raphael. The band marries a muscular yet melodic rhythm section with ear-worm hooks,
swirling keys and borderline absurdist prose dripping with Gothic imagery.
For fans of: The Animals, Kate Bush, The White Stripes, Pixies, Gorillaz, Angel Olsen, Johnny Cash,
Lou Reed and the Y eah Y eah Y eahs
