About this Event

About the Show: A night of laughter, conversation, and good vibes with two standup comics who have a lot to say, plus surprise guests! Abdullah and Jesse crack up audiences all over the country as club-favourites, and now they're joining forces to joke about their goofy misadventures, destructive behaviours, relationships, family, political events, and of course — being South Asian in Canada. Let's laugh about it.

About the Comedians:

Abdullah Usman is an award-winning Pakistani-Canadian comedian based out of Toronto. He was a writer and correspondent on CBC's critically acclaimed TV series This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and previously, a writer-producer on CBC’s Street Cents. As a stand-up comic, Abdullah has been featured on Just For Laughs, CBC Television, CBC Gem, Radio One, the Edmonton Comedy Festival, Arctic Comedy Festival, and is a headlining act across the nation at top clubs such as Yuk Yuk's and Absolute Comedy. His humour is drawn from his tales of living a culturally juxtaposed life, struggles of unravelling modern adulthood, dealing with identity, religion, and garnished with societal and pop culture banter.

...

Jesse Singh: Jesse Singh has quickly made himself a household name in Toronto’s comedy scene. He has been featured on some of the most renowned platforms of Canadian comedy such as being part of the Just For Laughs festival in Toronto, CBC Radio’s Laugh Out Loud, SiriusXM and opening for comedy legend Colin Mochrie from Whose Line is it Anyway? While growing up in an immigrant household and living in the unpredictable streets of Toronto, Jesse used humour as a means to navigate his way through life. His ‘unbelievable but very true’ personal experiences and realness on stage, makes him not only hilarious but also very relatable.
